Dr. Amelie de Mahy is a licensed acupuncturist specializing in musculoskeletal problems, emotional disorders and cosmetic acupuncture. She is a doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She is certified in Facial Enhancement Acupuncture and is a member of the Cosmetic Acupuncture UK professional practitioner network. She is a graduate of the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She also studied in the Acupuncture Orthopedic Department of China Medical University Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan for two years.

Dr. de Mahy has written several articles for publications such as Qi Journal, Acupuncture Today and the California Journal of Oriental Medicine. She is licensed in the state of California, and is also a certified diplomate by the National Commission Certification of Oriental Medicine. Her passion for acupuncture most recently took her to northern India where she treated members of the Tibetan religious community.

Following her return to the United States, Dr. de Mahy opened an acupuncture and Chinese medicine clinic that serves East Bay residents in Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, Moraga and Concord, California. In addition to her private practice, she also works in the Integrative Medical Department of Contra Costa Health Services.
